Threads draws on a tile pattern from Badi’a Khalaf’s residence in Ramallah, documented in Riwaq’s Traditional Floor Tiles in Palestine. At selected edges, the metal seems to unravel into the motif. Walnut clasps, blocks and slender metal rods turn support into an expressive part of the design, finding balance through differences in material, form and placement.
